Strikes on the rise as health unions cite staffing concerns

Health workers are striking more this year than at any other point in the pandemic — and the number of strikes may be on track to top any year in the last decade, new data shows. Thirty health worker strikes have been recorded in 2022, according to Cornell’s Labor Action Tracker, compared with 19 in the same period last year when the organization began tracking comprehensively.
